Zoom Zoom Phone Update

July 19, 2026 Zoom Phone release adds new call history, My Notes transcription, Online Fax email-body support, and Zoom Virtual Agent receptionist management. It also includes device firmware updates, caller ID display changes, and a fix for Phone Super Admin emergency routing permissions.

• Yealink T3 and T4 conference phone firmware V87 contains critical security fixes; once upgraded, devices cannot be downgraded to earlier firmware.
• Firmware deprecation for Cisco DP9841, DP9851, DP9861, and DP9871 version 3.4.1 means unsupported firmware will no longer receive updates or security fixes after Jan 31, 2027.

• Fixed a permission error that prevented users with the Phone Super Admin custom role from setting up emergency routing using temporary numbers from the local number pool.

• Transition to the new call history system; the legacy call history and Classic admin call log view will be phased out, and developers should move to the new call history API.
• Real-time transcription and note capture during active Zoom Phone calls with My Notes, including speaker-attributed captions, saved transcripts, summaries, and manual annotations.
• Firmware upgrades for supported Cisco, Poly, and Yealink devices, including new Yealink Canary Release firmware options.
• Outbound caller line identification support for Bring Your Own Carrier - Cloud numbers across products.
• Email body content support for email to fax, expanding fax sending beyond attachments.
• Improved incoming caller ID name display using company directory and priority-based resolution across platforms.
• Dedicated extension identity for Zoom Virtual Agent Receptionist in Phone System Management, including assignable phone policies and traffic splitting.
• Support for the Yealink W59R Pro DECT handset.

• My Notes during Zoom Phone calls will not be immediately available because it depends on a client release scheduled for July 20, 2026.
• Incoming call caller ID name display changes will not be immediately available because they depend on the client release scheduled for July 20, 2026.
• Plain text and HTML email-to-fax without attachments will be deployed the weekend of July 26, 2026.

• Users must upgrade to the latest client to use the new call history.
• Admins can enable or disable My Notes at the account or group level and manage retention settings.
• Yealink T3 and T4 conference phones upgraded to V87 cannot be downgraded by any means.
• Device firmware upgrades will reboot devices automatically.
• Poly Edge E series QoS reporting for Opus codec requires device provisioning configuration.
• The caller ID name priority order is not configurable in the admin portal or by users.
• Existing Zoom Virtual Agent deployments are migrated automatically.
• Traffic splitting for Zoom Virtual Agent applies only to calls directly to ZVAR.
