About updatealert.io
A notification service built by IT people, for IT people.
What we do
updatealert.io helps IT admins and system integrators stay informed about the products their infrastructure depends on.
We monitor public release notes from software and hardware vendors, structure them into clear summaries, and flag security-relevant changes - so you can make informed decisions without reading pages of vendor documentation.
The goal is simple: one feed for every release, patch, and end-of-life announcement across your stack. No marketing. No webinars. No filler.
Why we built it
Anyone managing a diverse IT stack knows the problem: each vendor publishes release notes on their own schedule, in their own format, on their own portal. Critical security patches sit in one inbox, breaking changes in another, end-of-life announcements in a third. Important changes get buried under marketing newsletters and webinar invites.
We built updatealert.io because we needed this tool ourselves. The brief was straightforward: pull every release directly from the official source, structure it so it can be scanned in seconds, flag what's security-relevant, and deliver it somewhere useful.
No noise. No guesswork. Just the information needed to keep infrastructure running.
How it works
Each update passes through the same structured process before it reaches your tracking list:
Sourced from official release notes
Updates are pulled directly from vendor release notes, documentation, and security advisories - not from third-party news or aggregators.
Structured into clear sections
Each update is broken down into Bug Fixes, Known Issues, New Features, Hints, and External IDs - so you see the relevant information at a glance.
Security-relevance flagged
Every update carries a clear yes/no flag for security impact. Security-relevant changes are highlighted throughout the app and in notifications.
Delivered to your tracking list
Updates appear in your personal tracking list and - if configured - as email notifications. Alert intervals are configurable per product.
Verified by the community
IT admins running the same products share real-world installation feedback (smooth / minor issues / major issues) and comments - so you know what to expect before rolling out an update.
Who it's for
updatealert.io is built for IT admins, system integrators, and technical teams that run diverse infrastructure and can't afford to miss a release.
Our users work in managed service providers, IT departments of mid-sized and large organizations, public institutions, and specialized integrators across verticals like Pro-AV, industrial IT, and smart building technology.
The service is offered exclusively to businesses, freelancers, and public entities (B2B). It is not intended for consumers.
