Update Summary

Zoom Phone release adds admin controls for virtual agents, call routing, SMS registration, device restrictions, and integrations. It also includes device certification, EOL notices, firmware updates, and multiple client features scheduled for the June 22, 2026 client release.

Update Details

Security

  • Decertification of certain IP Phone models due to security requirements; affected devices using SHA1-only encryption cipher sets can no longer be added as new devices.
  • Device management restrictions can limit Zoom Phone content access to managed devices only, reducing access to recordings, call summaries, SMS/MMS attachments, and voicemail from unmanaged devices.
  • Country-based blocking, approved contact lists, and threat call handling provide tighter control over incoming communications.

New Features

  • Virtual Agent management in phone system administration, including dedicated extensions, optional phone numbers, onboarding wizard support, fractional traffic control, and recording/transcription retention policies.
  • Group Rotating (Custom Groups) call distribution for call queues with sequential group escalation and API support.
  • In-portal toll-free porting and expanded international number pool access.
  • Guided SMS campaign registration with auto-generated campaign descriptions, consent text, and sample messages.
  • AI-powered captions and summaries for Zoom Push to Talk, including scheduled email summaries.
  • Hands-free Zoom Phone calling on iOS with Siri and Apple CarPlay support.
  • Self-service Push to Talk channel creation and discovery, including public and hidden channels.
  • Phone-only mobile client experience for focused Zoom Phone workflows.
  • Broadcast channels for Push to Talk.
  • Grandstream GXV34xx certification and expanded Grandstream GRP260x calling features.

Known Issues

  • Grandstream GXV34xx certification has a known limitation where the device does not accept an empty line in a key slot.
  • Several features are not immediately available because they depend on the client release scheduled for June 22, 2026.

Hints

  • The decertification scope includes AudioCodes IP phones 405HD, 450HD, RX50; AudioCodes MP-1xx ATA gateways; and Poly VVXD230 and legacy OBi 300/500 ATA gateways.
  • EOL notices are shown in the Zoom web portal for Cisco 6821 and 6851, plus AudioCodes MP112, MP114, MP124, and RX50.
  • Firmware upgrades will automatically reboot devices; Grandstream GXV3450/GXV3470/GXV3480 upgrade to 1.0.5.29, Yealink T88V/T88W to 192.87.3.2, and CP965 adds firmware 143.87.3.2 to the rules list.
  • ServiceNow Australia support for Zoom Phone works without the legacy CTI Softphone plugin, CTI demo setup, or /cti.do flow.
  • Microsoft Dynamics integration adds multiple-contact selection for inbound calls, local-time call logging, and configurable logging for queue calls.
  • Email-to-fax now supports email body content and is available to all Zoom users, but depends on the June 22, 2026 client release.
  • Cellular Companion billing requires Pay As You Go billing to be enabled on the account before activation.
