Zoom Zoom Phone Update

January 18, 2026 Zoom Phone updates add new SMS, recording, device, and AI Companion capabilities, including SMS delegation, selective call recording, and support for new Yealink and Grandstream devices. Several web portal and client issues were also resolved.

• New SMS delegation for shared line appearances includes audit trails and a visual warning when sending on behalf of another user.
• Selective call recording is disabled by default and limited to eligible Zoom Revenue Accelerator and Zoom Phone bundles.
• Team SMS sync for Contact Queue numbers in HubSpot is disabled by default for security.

• Fixed an issue where admins could not create a chat channel for a call queue due to a system error and lost description data.
• Fixed common area CSV upload behavior after downgrading from Zoom Phone Pro to Zoom Phone Common Area so assigned devices are retained more predictably.
• Fixed TCR SMS campaign registration failures caused by unsupported characters and ensured campaign content remains in English for TCR requirements.
• Fixed Route Groups All view in SA01 so survivability route groups are displayed.
• Fixed the Zoom Workplace Apps sidebar disappearing when resizing the main window on desktop and mobile clients.

• AI Companion call questions are now available on mobile devices with a pop-up window on iOS, iPadOS, and Android when Call Summary with AI Companion is enabled.
• Voicemail tracking now shows a Connected to voicemail result in call logs and Call History API responses for compliance reporting.
• Support was added for Yealink AX83H and AX86R WiFi phones with provisioning and Zero Touch Provisioning options.
• New certified Grandstream desk phones are supported: HT801V2, HT802V2, HT812V2, HT814V2, and HT818V2.
• Cisco 6861 and 6871 devices now show end-of-life status in the Zoom web portal.
• Team SMS sync and logging for Contact Queue numbers in HubSpot now supports shared team numbers.
• Selective call recording for Zoom Revenue Accelerator can capture only the organization's side of a call.
• SMS delegation is now available for shared line appearances with Power Pack licenses.

• AI Companion call questions for mobile devices will not be immediately available because it depends on a client release scheduled for February 2, 2026.

• Team SMS sync for Contact Queue numbers in HubSpot is controlled by a new toggle that defaults to disabled.
• Cisco 6861 and 6871 are marked end-of-life in the device provisioning workflow.
