  • Students can create personal class notebooks from the Gemini tab in Google Classroom using NotebookLM.
  • NotebookLM notebooks can generate study tools such as Audio Overviews, Video Overviews, study guides, flashcards, and visual diagrams.
  • Students can ask grounded questions based on up to 50 source documents per notebook.

  • Admins must enable Gemini, NotebookLM, and Gemini in Classroom for the relevant group or organizational unit.
  • The feature is on by default for users marked as Student, age 18 or older, in higher education, and with the required services enabled.
  • The feature rolls out on the web first, with mobile support following in the coming weeks.
