Google Meet hardware is transitioning from ChromeOS to Android to deliver features faster and expand device choices. ChromeOS support remains unchanged through the transition, with security patches and releases continuing up to September 2030 for recent models.

• ChromeOS-based Google Meet hardware remains supported through a multi-year transition period, with recent models supported up to September 2030.
• Manufacturing and sales of ChromeOS-based Google Meet Compute Systems will end gradually: Logitech/CTL in February 2027 and ASUS in April 2027.
• Admins planning room refresh cycles should purchase ChromeOS devices as soon as possible if they need to complement an existing fleet.
