Update Summary

Veeam ONE 13.1.0.7940 delivers extensive fixes for alarms, data collection, reporting, scalability, integrations, security, and upgrades. The release is available for download from July 29, 2026.

Update Details

Security

  • Fixed sign-in failures using Log on as current user and VMware Cloud Director tenant authentication.
  • Improved gRPC security by applying operating-system TLS cipher suite settings and exposing local SSL settings in the registry.
  • Improved error handling for expired Web API certificates and replaced unclear certificate-related errors with actionable messages.
  • Fixed Microsoft Graph delegated OAuth authentication failures caused by Conditional Access sign-in frequency.
  • Known issue: MFA-enabled users may be unable to complete distributed or silent setup when MFA is enabled but not configured; temporarily disable MFA during setup and re-enable it afterward.
  • Known issue: antivirus SSL/TLS inspection can block PowerShell and gRPC communication with Veeam Backup & Replication servers; disable filtering or configure exclusions as described in Veeam KB1999.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed Backup Copy RPO, job-state, retry, database-cleanup, and alarm import/export alarm behavior.
  • Fixed duplicate or stale RPO Anomalies workloads and removed deleted plug-in-managed virtual machines from Threat Center.
  • Fixed incorrect Cloud Connect immutability dates, SOBR session states, tape data display, SCVMM collection errors, and Hyper-V cluster detection.
  • Improved collection reliability by resolving stale monitoring-agent caches, collector hangs, proxy timeout failures, unresponsive server handling, and Monitoring Service crashes.
  • Fixed Veeam ONE Web and VMware Cloud Director tenant login failures and significantly improved tenant login performance.
  • Fixed incorrect, missing, empty, or nondeterministic report data across restore activity, job history, workload protection, protected computers, backup objects, and public-cloud policies.
  • Fixed report-generation failures involving queue timeouts, PostgreSQL configuration, service dependencies, large datasets, BigInt overflow, caching, and large parallel workloads.
  • Corrected Backup Billing calculations for metadata backups, capacity-tier data, moved restore points, and repositories removed from the infrastructure.
  • Reduced memory growth and service instability in VeeamDCS, Analytics, Monitor, and Reporter services, including tempdb growth and report-service hangs.
  • Fixed license capacity, rental-package, and agent-matched virtual-machine consumption calculations.
  • Fixed log collection and analysis failures, excessive log growth, missing CDP task logs, and misleading certificate messages.
  • Fixed upgrade and installation failures involving SQL permissions, extension modules, vCenter or ESXi 7.0.0, PostgreSQL, distributed web components, and Analytics Service deployment.
  • Fixed Syslog alarm forwarding, long ServiceNow descriptions, REST API 502 errors, and Microsoft Graph OAuth refresh-token failures.

New Features

  • Added the ReportTimeoutMinutes setting to separate report-generation timeout from time spent waiting in the queue.
  • Added page format and orientation options for scheduled reports and restored the table of contents.
  • Added a memory-pressure safeguard to help keep the Veeam ONE Monitor Service available under sustained memory pressure.
  • Added operating-system TLS cipher suite integration and registry-accessible local SSL settings for gRPC communication.
  • Improved Backup Billing to account for metadata backups and additional repository and object-storage scenarios.
  • Added clearer, actionable PostgreSQL ltree extension errors and improved upgrade diagnostics.

Known Issues

  • Changing Veeam ONE services to Local System causes Reporting and Caching services to fail with Windows-authenticated databases; switch to SQL Server Authentication first.
  • Installation or upgrade fails if the selected active PostgreSQL instance has reached its connection limit.
  • Windows 11 Smart App Control may interfere with installation and Reporting Service functionality; disabling Smart App Control is recommended.
  • Email notifications sent from an alias using the new OAuth method show the user ID instead of the alias as sender.
  • Distributed deployments may not display all website and Web Client communication certificate fields in Certificate Management.
  • Restricted users cannot use Log in as current user in Veeam ONE Web Client and may need to re-authenticate after container changes.
  • XML, Word, and Excel report formats are deprecated; affected output is provided as PDF or CSV.
  • Scheduled scripts from schedules created in earlier versions do not run after upgrade until they are re-added.
  • Backup jobs configured to run continuously may not appear in Jobs Calendar.
  • Some reports and integrations have documented limitations for specific platforms, authentication methods, large environments, and historical data collection.

Hints

  • Version 13.1 supports automated in-place upgrades from Veeam ONE 12.0.0.2498 or later; contact Veeam Customer Support for upgrades from earlier versions.
  • Back up the Veeam ONE SQL database before upgrading.
  • When Veeam Backup & Replication servers are connected, upgrade Veeam ONE before upgrading Veeam Backup & Replication.
  • Review current system requirements and compatibility information before installation or upgrade, especially for deployments with 1,000 or more workloads.
  • For large environments, an index-creation script included in the ISO can reduce upgrade time; contact Veeam Technical Support for assistance.
  • The Veeam Analytics Service requires Veeam Backup & Replication 12 or later.
  • After upgrading to Veeam ONE 13 or later, click Reconnect for Veeam Backup & Replication Analytics to clear cached links.
  • For ReFS event collection, configure credentials manually in Veeam ONE Client. JeOS-based appliances must be added by FQDN and may require their certificate in the Veeam ONE server's trusted root store.
