Hints

  • Before upgrading, complete a configuration backup and ensure configuration backup encryption is enabled so stored credentials are included.
  • Upgrade from version 12.3.1 (build 12.3.1.1139) or later is supported for in-place upgrades on Windows.
  • Download the latest ISO because it includes the latest cumulative patch.
  • If migrating from Windows-based Veeam Backup & Replication to Veeam Software Appliance, stay on the latest 13.0 patch release and contact Veeam Support.
  • After upgrading, remote servers may need component updates through the automated upgrade wizard.
  • Existing Azure Restore Proxies must be removed and redeployed after upgrading to 13.1.
