Veeam Backup Veem Update Version 3.2.1.4038

Veeam Backup for Salesforce 3.2.1 (3.2.1.4038) adds support for Salesforce API v66.0 and includes updated installation, upgrade, and compatibility guidance. It also documents known backup, restore, archival, and automation limitations.

• Built-in encryption uses a generated product key stored at /opt/vbsf/vbsf-backend/config/product.key; losing it can make encrypted data unrecoverable.

• Support for Salesforce API version 66.0 by default.

• Support for PostgreSQL 18.4 included in the setup.

• With Salesforce SSO, using the same Salesforce user for login and backup is not recommended; the backup session token can expire after 5 logins and jobs may fail with an expired token.
• Backup and restore are not available for BigObject, Idea-related objects, and KnowledgeArticle objects.
• Inline images in rich text fields are backed up only when the field is not encrypted; restore of inline images for rich text fields, ContentNote, FeedItem, and FeedComment is not available in v3.2.1.
• Backup of inline images for ContentNote objects is not supported.
• Data reload is not available for FeedItem.
• Restore of files larger than 2 GB is not supported due to Salesforce API limitations.
• Cloning restore jobs created in product versions before v3.0 is not supported.
• Data archival is not supported for several object types, including history objects, ContentNote, Profile, Organization, User, SelfServiceUser, RecordType, SObjects without delete API, and Attribute objects in Salesforce Financial Services Cloud.

• The release version 3.2.1.4038 is available for download starting from 2026-07-30.
• Automated upgrade is not supported on CentOS or on PostgreSQL 12/13; those installations require manual upgrade.
• Before upgrading from PostgreSQL 12.x or 13.x, PostgreSQL must be upgraded to at least 15.11.
• During upgrade, do not restart the application while database migrations are running, or the installation and backup repository may be corrupted.
• Default file storage is /opt/vbsf/data; existing repositories must be moved manually if the storage location is changed.
• The Linux system locale must be set to en_US.UTF-8.
• The product uses a standalone license and is not part of Veeam Universal License.
• The product key created during installation must be preserved before uninstalling if built-in encryption is used.
