Veeam Backup Veem Update Version Veeam Backup & Replication 13.1

Veeam Backup & Replication 13.1 release notes cover installation, upgrade, and platform-specific limitations for Windows. The release is available for download starting July 29, 2026.

• Windows installation may fail on systems using Turkish or other non-ASCII locales because of PostgreSQL 17 locale handling.
• Port 443 is required for Web UI operations and may block upgrade if already in use.
• Migration from a Microsoft Windows installation to Veeam Software Appliance is not supported in 13.1.
• A configuration backup (.bco) created on v13.0.1 cannot be restored on 13.1 if an Entra ID backup exists.

• Download the latest ISO because it includes the latest cumulative patch.
• For upgrades, ensure no jobs, restore sessions, Instant Recovery sessions, SureBackup jobs, or CDP policies are running.
• If upgrading from 12.3.1 or later, use the in-place upgrade path; earlier versions require Veeam Support.
• After upgrading, remote servers may need component upgrades from the main product menu.
• If using Enterprise Manager, upgrade it before Veeam Backup & Replication.
• If migrating from Windows to Veeam Software Appliance, stay on the latest 13.0 patch release and contact Veeam Support.
• After upgrading to 13.1, existing Azure Restore Proxies must be removed and redeployed.
• The legacy Agent UI customization mechanism based on registry keys is deprecated and no longer supported starting with 13.1.
