  • Enhanced authentication stability for SSO/CAS/SAML sign-in flows, including special-character usernames and redirect-loop handling.

Bug Fixes

  • Improved message clarity and error handling in the SSO client.
  • Fixed an infinite redirect loop when DSM was configured as both an SSO Server and client pointing to the same server.
  • Fixed SAML-authenticated usernames not appearing in Log Center when no local or directory user match was found.
  • Fixed NFS WriteOnce upload locking and an extra krb5i option shown in NFS permission settings.
  • Fixed IEEE 802.3ad Link Aggregation creation/function issues after updating to DSM 7.3.
  • Fixed improper shutdown behavior when enabling IPv6 under certain circumstances.
  • Fixed external network access remaining available after all gateways were deleted.
  • Fixed missing licenses on Virtual DSM after restart.
  • Fixed Synology Drive Admin Console not functioning properly after installing or updating to DSM 7.3.
  • Fixed false insufficient-space precheck blocking DSM updates.
  • Fixed Package Center connection failures to Synology servers in IPv6 environments.
  • Fixed system logs not attaching to support tickets in Support Center.

New Features

  • DSM now shows supported SMB authentication methods when joining an LDAP server.
  • Added GPU information display in Info Center.
  • Synology certificates now support exporting an additional CA file for KMIP client authentication.

Hints

  • After installing this update, downgrade to a previous DSM version is not possible.
  • This update restarts the Synology NAS.
  • If auto update does not run, perform a manual update in Control Panel and complete the required actions before updating.
  • Some models will not receive this update through notifications and can only download the upgrade patch from Synology Download Center.
  • For the listed models, DSM 7.4 will be the last upgradable version.
  • Compatibility updates may be required for Synology Chat Server, HighAvailability(SHA), Synology MailPlus Server, PACS, QuickConnect, ReplicationService, SecureSignIn, SnapshotReplication, and WebStation.
  • PHP 8.1, Mail Station, and Synology Mail Server are no longer supported.
  • This version is released in a staged rollout.
