OpenAI ChatGPT Update Version GPT 5.5

GPT-5.2 models were retired in ChatGPT and existing chats now continue on GPT-5.5. The update also adds memory summary deletion and a new option to turn memory off.

• Users can delete memories from the memory summary page and choose Delete and turn off memory from the three-dot menu.
• Memory summary text can be edited by typing a change request or highlighting specific text for correction.

• Existing GPT-5.2 conversations automatically continue on the corresponding GPT-5.5 model.
• Models generally remain available in ChatGPT for 90 days after a successor is released.
• Memory updates are still rolling out across plans and countries; availability is notified in ChatGPT.
• Memory controls are available to all ChatGPT users on the web and are rolling out on mobile soon.
