July 13, 2026 BigQuery release includes GA for Iceberg managed table partitioning, multi-statement transactions, advanced runtime, and the Overview page, plus GCP-2026-047 for a Missing Authorization issue affecting repositories across BigQuery, Dataform, and Colab Enterprise.

• GCP-2026-047: Missing Authorization vulnerability in repositories across BigQuery, Dataform, and Colab Enterprise could let an authenticated attacker escalate permissions and perform cross-tenant repository takeover.
• Developer Connect now checks permissions on both the calling principal and the P4SA for GitLab Enterprise and Bitbucket Data Center connections, enforcing secretmanager.versions.access on referenced secrets.

• Table partitioning, multi-statement transactions, and advanced runtime are now generally available for Apache Iceberg managed tables.
• Project caps (scheduling policies) are in Preview for limiting maximum slots and concurrency per project within a BigQuery reservation.
• The BigQuery Overview page is now generally available as a hub for tutorials, features, and resources.
• BigQuery Migration Service MCP server can translate SQL to GoogleSQL, generate DDL from SQL input, and explain SQL translations; it is generally available.
• Incremental data transfers for BigQuery Data Transfer Service for Salesforce are now generally available.
• The ALTER SEARCH INDEX DDL statement can update search index configuration; this feature is in Preview.
• Parameterized secure views are in Preview for Cloud SQL for MySQL, requiring MySQL 8.0.43+ and maintenance version R20260320.00_20 or later.

• Managed Airflow (Gen 3) builds with Airflow 2.11.1 starting from composer-3-airflow-2.11.1-build.7 may experience intermittent OOM issues if the web server has less than 3 GB of memory.

• For parameterized secure views in Cloud SQL for MySQL, install MySQL 8.0.43 or later and maintenance version R20260320.00_20 or later.
• For Managed Airflow (Gen 3) with Airflow 2.11.1, increase web server memory to at least 3 GB to avoid intermittent OOM issues.
• For Sensitive Data Protection, leaving InfoType.version unset or set to stable for MEDICAL_ID includes MEDICAL_RECORD_NUMBER findings as MEDICAL_ID; use legacy for the old behavior for 90 days.
