• Looker (Google Cloud core) now supports FIPS 140-3 level 1 compliance; existing FIPS 140-2 instances are upgraded when moved to Looker 26.12.

• Looker fixed multiple issues affecting dashboards, embeds, workflows, validation, drill behavior, PDF exports, OAuth, and API errors.
• Looker fixed a crash when opening folders containing scheduled content for disabled integrations.
• Looker fixed access issues for users with only the Admin via IAM role when Advanced Control Governance is enabled.
• Looker fixed table visualization and formatting issues, including reset behavior, spacing, alignment, and column limits with pivots.

• BigQuery Data Transfer Service can now transfer metadata from PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server into Knowledge Catalog in Preview.
• BigQuery Data Agent Kit extension lets agent coding tools such as VS Code, Antigravity, and Cursor interact with BigQuery resources directly in the IDE in Preview.
• Bigtable Go client library can now execute read jobs and queries using Data Boost.
• Compute Engine Preview: Advanced Compute Images provide performance-tuned OS images for AI, ML, and HPC workloads.
• Gemini Enterprise AlphaEvolve optimization agent is now generally available.
• Looker KPI Visualization preview is enabled by default.
• Looker Increased Row Limit is now generally available.
• Looker (Google Cloud core) now supports FIPS 140-3 level 1 compliance.
• Looker table chart Row Grouping is available in Preview and enabled by default.
• Security Command Center Premium and Standard tiers can now modify data residency and data encryption configuration after activation.

• BigQuery hybrid search using VECTOR_SEARCH has been temporarily disabled.
• AlphaEvolve does not support FedRAMP or DoD compliance requirements and is restricted by default in those environments.
• GKE version rollouts may take multiple days and some versions may not yet be available in all zones.
• Looker 26.12 rollout to Looker (original) instances is scheduled to begin July 12, 2026 and complete by July 26, 2026.

• Knowledge Catalog connectors automatically extract technical, operational, and business metadata and can be scheduled on a recurring basis.
• AlphaEvolve access for FedRAMP or DoD environments can be requested through the account team.
• GKE release notes indicate some versions are deprecated and will be removed in 90 days or at end of support, whichever comes first.
• Looker CI Run Alert emails now include the Run ID in the subject and Git branch and commit details in the body.
• Looker 26.12 upgrades existing FIPS 140-2 compliant instances to FIPS 140-3 when upgraded.
