Security

  • Apigee X: CVE-2026-12879 fixed an improper input validation issue in BigQuery DAO that could allow an authenticated attacker to exfiltrate cross-tenant data. Patched on June 12, 2026; no customer action needed.

  • AlloyDB for PostgreSQL: External search now supports Apache Solr in Preview via external_search_fdw.
  • BigQuery: Updated Simba ODBC driver is available.
  • BigQuery: Multi-level aggregation in GoogleSQL is now in Preview.
  • Cloud Run: Sandboxes provide an isolated environment for executing untrusted code in Preview.
  • Compute Engine: C4N network-optimized machine series is generally available.
  • Memory Bank: Support for gemini-embedding-2 is available for similarity search configurations.
  • Memory Bank: IngestEvents API is generally available with support for event overlap, memory revision controls, and metadata attachment.
  • Google Cloud VMware Engine: Disaster recovery configuration using JetStream is available in Preview.
  • Google Kubernetes Engine: C4N machine series is available for clusters running 1.36.0-gke.3009002 or later.
  • Network Intelligence Center: Connectivity Tests now analyzes Proxy Network Load Balancers with SNI routing for TLS traffic.

Hints

  • Memory Bank gemini-embedding-2 must use global, us, or eu endpoints; regional locations such as us-central1 are not supported.
  • Grok 4.1 models on Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform are deprecated and will shut down on August 20, 2026; migrate to Grok 4.2, Grok 4.3, or another Model Garden model.
  • C4N machine types with attached Local SSD disks require preview access.
  • GKE support for C4N requires version 1.36.0-gke.3009002 or later and works in Standard or Autopilot mode.
