Security

  • Container Optimized OS updates include security patches for multiple Linux kernel CVEs, dev-python/urllib3 CVE-2026-44431, dev-libs/libxml2 CVE-2026-6732, and dev-lang/go / net-misc/curl vulnerability fixes.
  • COS fixes an EFI variable out-of-bounds read in GRUB config parsing and a KCTF-9e6bf14 Linux kernel issue.
  • COS updates package versions to latest patch releases to address known CVEs and improve security hardening.

Bug Fixes

  • COS fixes a GRUB2 crash when using configfile or source commands with Secure Boot enabled.
  • COS fixes a rare ext4 online resize race condition that could prevent machines from booting.
  • Google Cloud CCaaS 4.35 fixes multiple agent desktop, call handling, transcription, reporting, CRM, and chat workflow issues.
  • Cloud Trace adds trace spans for remote MCP server tools/call operations to improve agent behavior analysis.

  • Cloud Storage FUSE CSI driver is now supported for GKE Dedicated clusters and node pools on GKE 1.36.0-gke.1266000 and later.
