Update Summary

Config Connector version 1.149.1 adds new alpha resources, GKE Data Cache fields, controlled CR reconciliation, and broader direct reconciliation support. It also fixes a preview tool connection issue and enforces read-only cluster access.

Update Details

Security

  • Preview Tool now enforces read-only access to the cluster for improved security.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a connection error in the Config Connector preview tool.

New Features

  • New alpha resources: NetworkServicesLBRouteExtension and ParameterManagerParameterVersion.
  • Added spec.nodeConfig.ephemeralStorageLocalSsdConfig.dataCacheCount to ContainerCluster and ContainerNodePool for GKE Data Cache support.
  • Controlled CR reconciliation now supports unmanaging specific resources through resourceSettings in ConfigConnector and ConfigConnectorContext.
  • Direct reconciliation support expanded to more resources with opt-in behavior.

Known Issues

  • Direct reconciliation is opt-in and requires the cnrm.cloud.google.com/reconciler: direct annotation on the corresponding Config Connector object.
  • Parser updates in Google SecOps are rolled out gradually and may take one to four days to appear in a region.

Hints

  • To use direct reconciliation, add the cnrm.cloud.google.com/reconciler: direct annotation to the relevant Config Connector object.
