August 03, 2026 Cloud release adds API Gateway model routing for OpenAI-compatible requests, new BigQuery cross-cloud connections and JDBC tracing, and GKE TPU Subslicing GA. It also expands security and operations capabilities across SecOps, IAM, SCC, and VPC Service Controls.

• Google SecOps Enterprise Plus adds the Threat Hunt Agent in Public Preview for autonomous threat hunting, case creation, and evidence extraction.
• Identity and Access Management adds Preview support for Organization Policy Service custom constraints for Privileged Access Manager (PAM) to restrict entitlement and grant creation and modification.
• Security Command Center Standard now supports AI Protection for both projects and organizations, including project-level AI security dashboard access and baseline findings.
• VPC Service Controls adds Preview support for Google Antigravity in Gemini Enterprise integration.

• Google Cloud Contact Center as a Service advanced reporting dashboards fix multiple reporting and export issues, including inaccurate time-based figures, incorrect queue and transfer metrics, and dashboard filter/display problems.
• BigQuery restores support for hybrid search using VECTOR_SEARCH with HYBRID mode in AI.SEARCH.

• API Gateway can now route OpenAI-compatible prompt requests to specific Vertex AI Model Garden models using managed model routing and OpenAPI 3.x extensions.
• BigQuery adds Preview cross-cloud connections to query data in AWS, Azure, and Salesforce Data 360 from all BigQuery regions.
• BigQuery JDBC driver now supports OpenTelemetry tracing and logging, with automatic export to Google Cloud Observability; this is GA.
• Cloud Workstations updates JetBrains preconfigured base images to 2026.x versions.
• GKE TPU Subslicing (Dynamic Subslicing) is now GA for Ironwood (TPU7x), including dynamic sub-slicing and super-slicing support.
• Google SecOps SIEM adds Preview support for analyzing feed activity with Cloud Logging.
• Security Command Center Standard expands AI Protection support to projects and organizations.
• Virtual Private Cloud adds Preview support for creating v2 IPv4 public advertised prefixes for BYOIP using Standard Tier IP addresses.

• Cloud SQL enhanced backups now allow changing the associated backup plan without removing the existing plan first, as long as the new plan uses the same backup vault and region.
• The Cloud SQL backup plan change is available in the Google Cloud console and gcloud CLI.
• Google SecOps SOAR Stage 2 migration deadline has been extended from September 30, 2026 to November 30, 2026.
• For GKE TPU Subslicing, dynamic sub-slicing requires GKE version 1.36.0-gke.3712000 or later, and dynamic super-slicing requires 1.35.2-gke.1842000 or later.
• For GKE TPU Subslicing, partition state labels now use cloud.google.com/gke-tpu-partition-[shape]-state and include UNSET and INCOMPLETE states.
