Update Summary

June 25, 2026 release: Admins on Team and Enterprise plans can enable Trusted Devices for Remote Control in Claude Code. The beta feature requires an enrolled device and a recent sign-in to view or steer remote sessions.

Update Details

Security

  • Adds an organization-wide control that ties Remote Control access to a known device and recent authentication, reducing access based on account sign-in alone.
  • Requires device enrollment plus a sign-in no older than 18 hours before a member can interact with a Remote Control session.
  • Uses OS or browser biometric step-up via Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello, or a passkey; Anthropic does not receive or store biometric data.

New Features

  • Introduces Trusted Devices for Remote Control on Team and Enterprise plans.
  • Allows admins to require device verification before members can view or steer local Claude Code sessions remotely.

Hints

  • Trusted Devices is currently in beta and is off by default until enabled by an admin.
  • The setting is organization-wide and applies to claude.ai, Claude mobile apps, and Claude Desktop.
  • Each browser, phone, or desktop app enrolls its own credential shortly after a full sign-in.
  • Only the device public key and basic metadata such as display name, platform, and enrollment time are stored.
