Update Summary

Q-SYS Designer v10.0 was released on 2025-06-02 and adds new hardware support, licensing changes, ST 2110 audio components, proxy and secure communication options, and many resolved issues. It also addresses a security vulnerability related to the SSH service.

Update Details

Security

  • A security vulnerability related to the SSH service has been addressed.
  • New Secure Communication and Trusted Peripherals support encrypts Core-to-Core, Core-to-Peripheral, and Core-to-external control communications after trust establishment.
  • Proxy server configuration was added to route network communications through a specified proxy server.

Bug Fixes

  • Resolved multiple audio, video, control, platform, and management issues, including device initialization problems, camera preview and USB-C video issues, UCI crashes, design freezes, and peripheral status/reporting errors.
  • Fixed PTPv2 announcement packet length handling and related decoding issues.
  • Resolved issues causing Core processing overruns, design lockups, and peripheral offline events under heavy or corrupted workloads.
  • Fixed PA paging and router issues, including incorrect source display, API hang conditions, and paging command behavior.
  • Resolved memory growth and stability issues affecting Lua Timer.CallAfter(), CX-Q amplifiers, and long-running systems.

New Features

  • New product support for Core 24f, I/O-Core 24f, Server Core X20r, Server Core X10, and VisionSuite Accelerator VSA-100.
  • New licensing model removes the need for Scripting Engine, UCI Deployment, and Microsoft Teams Room UC Integration licenses in v10.0.
  • Added ST 2110 Audio Receiver and ST 2110 Audio Transmitter inventory items with optional network redundancy and manual or NMOS connection modes.
  • Added VisionSuite Designer web-based UI with 3D floor plan and active talker visualization.
  • Added Sequencer and When components for event automation and scheduling.
  • Added Flexbox to the UCI toolbox for responsive layout design.
  • Added Mediacast Output component for NV-32-H preview stream creation.
  • Added improved layer presentation and Block/Text Controller UI enhancements.

Known Issues

  • Secure Communication and Trusted Peripherals is not recommended for systems with more than 64 peripherals at this time; the limit is planned to be removed in the next patch release.
  • Some removed hardware remains supported until June 2028 for warranty reasons, with support limited to bug fixes and security updates via an LTS branch.

Hints

  • Generate CSR was relocated into the Device Certificate tab in Core Manager; Peripheral Manager keeps Generate CSR as a separate tab.
  • PA Global Settings default priorities were renamed to Emergency, Urgent, Important, Normal, and Background.
  • PA Play Message Commands can now include a preamble and optionally override source priority when Station/User Priority is used.
  • Removed hardware support includes Core 1100, Core 3100, Core 110f w/ 2GB RAM, I/O-8 Flex, I/O-22, I/O-Frame, PS-1600G/H, PS-1650G/H, TSC-7t, TSC-7w, PTZ-12x72, and PTZ-20x60.
  • For earlier versions than v10.0, users can generate an EID containing free UCI Deployment and Scripting Engine licenses if needed.
