June 10, 2026 update simplifies the model picker for Plus and Pro users on web, iOS, and Android. Thinking Standard, Extended, and Heavy are renamed to Medium, High, and Extra High, while Thinking Light is removed.

• New setting lets users choose whether Instant auto-switches to Medium for higher reasoning when needed.

• On iOS and Android, the model picker is at the top of the conversation; on web, it appears in the message composer.
