  • Adds known vulnerable kernel drivers to the Microsoft vulnerable driver blocklist.
  • Improves protection against phishing attacks using Remote Desktop (.rdp) files by showing requested settings before connection and adding a one-time warning.
  • Addresses a BitLocker Recovery issue that might occur after Secure Boot updates.
  • Secure Boot certificate update status can now be shown in the Windows Security app; commercial-device enhancements are disabled by default.

  • Fixes a Reset this PC failure that could occur with Keep my files or Remove everything after the March 2026 hotpatch update.
  • Improves reliability of SMB compression over QUIC to reduce timeouts.

New Features

  • Secure Boot certificate update status is now displayed in the Windows Security app.
  • Windows quality updates now use additional high-confidence device targeting data to expand phased Secure Boot certificate rollout.

Known Issues

  • Devices with an unrecommended BitLocker Group Policy configuration might be prompted for the BitLocker recovery key on the first restart after installation.
  • Remote Desktop warning dialogs might not display correctly on multi-monitor setups with different scaling settings.

  • If affected by the BitLocker issue, Microsoft recommends removing the Configure TPM platform validation profile for native UEFI firmware configurations policy or temporarily suspending BitLocker before installing the update.

  • Backup apps using blocked drivers may fail to mount or manage disk images and should be updated to versions using newer drivers.
