Microsoft Windows 11 26H1 Update Version OS Build 28000.1764

KB5079489 (OS Build 28000.1764) is a non-security Windows 11 version 26H1 preview update with quality improvements, new features, and servicing stack update KB5085536. Microsoft reports no known issues.

• Built-in Sysmon is now available natively in Windows for threat detection and event capture; it is off by default and must be enabled before use.

• Microsoft is not currently aware of any issues with this update.

• Built-in Sysmon is off by default; enable it in Settings > System > Optional features > More Windows features, or with Dism /Online /Enable-Feature /FeatureName:Sysmon, then complete setup with sysmon -i.
• If Sysmon from Sysinternals is already installed, uninstall it before enabling the built-in version.
• QMR stays off for domain-joined or enterprise-managed devices unless enabled by the organization.
• RSAT on Arm64 is available as optional features through Settings or Control Panel.
• This update includes servicing stack update KB5085536 (OS Build 28000.1763).
