June 4, 2026: New iOS device management settings are now generally available in Google Endpoint Management. The update expands native Apple MDM controls for security and configuration across apps, Safari, device features, backup, authentication, and data sharing.

Security

  • Expanded iOS MDM controls to harden corporate-owned and BYOD devices.
  • New controls for Managed pasteboard, Fingerprint for unlock, Untrusted TLS prompt, Limit ad tracking, and Preserve eSIM on erase.
  • Added restrictions for app installation, hidden apps, in-app purchases, Safari private browsing/history clearing, and device features such as iPhone mirroring and RCS messaging.

New Features

  • Generally available expanded native Apple MDM settings in Google Endpoint Management.
  • New admin controls for Apps and Services, Safari, Device Features, Backup and iCloud Sync, Authentication, and Data Sharing.

  • Rollout is gradual for Rapid Release and Scheduled Release domains, with feature visibility taking up to 15 days starting on 2026-06-04.
