Google Workspace Update

May 28, 2026: Workspace users can securely share Gemini chats, canvases, and generated media on the web using the familiar Google Drive sharing interface. Admins can manage the feature in Admin console, and sharing follows existing Drive sharing policies.

• Sharing is governed by existing Drive sharing policies, so external access depends on the organization's Drive configuration.

• Workspace users can share Gemini app chats, canvases, and generated media from the web.
• Conversation sharing can still be enabled via link.

• The feature is ON by default for admins and can be controlled with a new Admin console setting.
• If Drive content is shareable outside the organization, Gemini assets will be shareable outside the organization as well.
• Admin rollout starts on 2026-05-28; end-user visibility starts on 2026-06-03.
