Google Vids now lets users review and edit AI-generated scripts for each slide before completing Slides-to-Vids import with Gemini. The feature is on by default and can be disabled in the Convert Slides workflow.

Hints

  • No admin control is available for this feature.
  • To see the script editing screen, users must enable the Include AI voiceover, script, and background music toggle.
  • If the toggle is disabled, Vids starts the import immediately after slide selection.
  • Rapid Release domains: gradual rollout started on 2026-03-31, up to 15 days for visibility.
  • Scheduled Release domains: full rollout starting on 2026-04-14, 1–3 days for visibility.
