Google Cloud Update Version 1.28.7-asm.4

June 08, 2026 Google Cloud updates include BigQuery GA enhancements, Cloud Service Mesh security patch releases for GCP-2026-035, Cloud Network Insights GA, and new Vertex AI Search filtering features. Managed Service for Apache Airflow dependency changes and Cloud SQL for MySQL managed buffer pool GA are also included.

• Cloud Service Mesh 1.28.7-asm.4, 1.27.9-asm.5, and 1.26.8-asm.11 include the fix for the security vulnerability listed in GCP-2026-035.
• Cloud Service Mesh patch releases use updated Envoy versions: v1.36.8-dev, v1.35.12-dev, and v1.34.14.

• Google Cloud Contact Center as a Service fixed Salesforce case creation, chat transfer, call hold audio, wrap-up button visibility, queue layout, ACW reporting, deflection behavior, and inactivity timeout issues.

• BigQuery: Gemini Cloud Assist data lineage analysis in Preview.
• BigQuery: Gemini Cloud Assist query scheduling in Preview.
• BigQuery: Google-developed open source JDBC driver for Java applications is GA.
• BigQuery: custom Organization Policy constraints for some sharing resources are GA.
• BigQuery: IAM deny policies are GA.

• Sensitive Data Protection: OBJECT_TYPE/PERSON/SIGNATURE infoType detector is available in global, asia, europe, and us multi-regions.
• Vertex AI Search: prefix and partial matching for filter expressions is in Public Preview.
• Vertex AI Search: EXISTS filter for search queries is in Public Preview.
• App Hub support for resources from Memorystore is GA.

• Managed Service for Apache Airflow: several API dependencies were phased out for new Managed Airflow (Gen 2) environments in new projects; existing Gen 2 and Gen 3 environments in already-enabled projects are not impacted.
• For Managed Airflow (Gen 2), the phased-out APIs must be enabled separately in new projects: artifactregistry.googleapis.com, cloudbuild.googleapis.com, container.googleapis.com, and pubsub.googleapis.com.
• The following Managed Airflow APIs are not phased out yet but are scheduled to be detached in the future: sqladmin.googleapis.com.
• Cloud Service Mesh rollout previously announced on June 3, 2026 was stopped and will be superseded by the new release.
• Cloud Service Mesh 1.28.7-asm.4, 1.27.9-asm.5, and 1.26.8-asm.11 are for in-cluster deployments and include upgrade guidance.
• Cloud Trace supports regional endpoints; supported endpoints are listed in the v1 and v2 REST reference pages.
